Hunters Legal is working with a Top Tier Law Firm to appoint a Senior Solicitor into its market-leading Property Litigation team. The role offers the opportunity to work within a Tier 1 ranked practice, advising major Registered Providers, local authorities and private landlords on complex and high-value matters.

The firm operates nationally from multiple offices and is widely regarded as a market leader within the social housing sector. It advises a broad client base including Registered Providers, local authorities, private landlords, care and support providers, developers, and investment funds. Ranked Tier 1 for housing management and property litigation work, the firm has experienced significant growth in recent years and now comprises over 350 lawyers and staff, with an expanding national and international footprint.

The Housing Management & Property Litigation team advises over 100 Registered Providers, local authorities, and private landlords across England and Wales. The team provides comprehensive advice across all aspects of housing management and property litigation, combining technical excellence with a practical and commercial approach.

The firm is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join its Property Litigation team. The successful candidate will manage their own varied caseload, covering a broad range of housing litigation matters including injunctions, possession proceedings, disrepair claims, and non-contentious advisory work such as policy and governance advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of a varied housing management and property litigation caseload.
  • Supporting partners on large-scale and complex matters.
  • Direct client interaction, including managing expectations and meeting deadlines.
  • Supervision and development of junior team members, including paralegals.
  • Managing multiple deadlines across a range of matters efficiently and accurately.
  • Contributing to marketing and business development initiatives in a client-focused manner.
  • Preparing and delivering training sessions and presentations to clients.

Person Specification

  • Experience in housing management and property litigation.
  • Proven experience of running own files and managing a caseload independently.
  • Experience supervising junior staff, including paralegals.
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based systems.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively and manage competing deadlines.
  • Capability to handle matters with an appropriate level of supervision.
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness and proactive approach.
