Hunters Legal is working with a Top 100 Law Firm in their search for an experienced Litigation Associate to provide maternity cover within its Commercial Litigation team. This is a one-year fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible, offering exposure to complex and high-value disputes within a highly regarded practice.

The Litigation Team
The Litigation practice is recognised for its expertise in commercial, property and art litigation. The team advises on both domestic and international matters and has extensive experience resolving complex disputes.
Commercial litigation specialists advise on contract disputes, professional negligence, partnership disputes and civil fraud. Property litigation expertise includes disputes relating to breaches of covenant, lease renewals, forfeiture, possession claims and tenant insolvency. The art litigation practice advises on ownership disputes, authenticity and provenance issues, misattribution or damage to artwork, and restitution claims.
The Role
The Litigation Associate will manage a varied caseload of complex and high-value disputes and support clients through challenging litigation matters. The role requires confidence in handling matters independently while working closely with partners and colleagues across the team.
Key Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical expertise and proven ability to manage complex litigation matters.
- Experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, including high-value contractual disputes.
- Experience of joint venture and shareholder disputes, fraudulent transactions and insolvency-related claims before UK courts and arbitral tribunals.
- Familiarity with niche areas such as art litigation.
- Excellent drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters concurrently.
- Strong client communication and relationship-management skills.
