Hunters Legal is working with a Legal 500 Ranked firm that is Tier 1 recognised for its housing management and property litigation work. They are looking to add an experienced Solicitor to their well established team in London, Leeds, or Birmingham.
The firm is a long established Legal 500 Ranked practice with a strong national presence across multiple UK offices. It is recognised as a specialist, medium sized firm with deep expertise across a range of practice areas including housing management and property litigation. The firm acts primarily for social housing providers and is consistently ranked Tier 1 for its work in this sector. In addition, it advises private landlords, care and support providers, private developers, and investment funds. In recent years, the firm has experienced sustained growth, now employing over 350 staff and partners, with an expanding national and international profile.
The Housing Management and Property Litigation team advises a substantial client base including registered providers, local authorities, and private landlords across England and Wales. The team provides comprehensive advice on all aspects of housing management and property litigation.
The firm is seeking a lawyer who is experienced to manage their own caseload. The work will include a broad range of housing litigation matters such as injunctions, possession proceedings, disrepair claims, as well as non contentious advisory work including policy advice. This is an opportunity to join a well regarded and growing team within a specialist area of law that continues to evolve. The successful candidate will have prior experience in housing management and or housing litigation and will demonstrate strong technical ability and sound case management skills. They will be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, and will show enthusiasm for client relationship development alongside a commercial and pragmatic approach.

- Day to day management of a varied caseload.
- Supporting partners on larger and more complex matters.
- Direct client interaction, including managing expectations and meeting deadlines.
- Supervision and mentoring of junior staff, including paralegals.
- Managing multiple deadlines across a range of matters simultaneously.
- Involvement in marketing and business development initiatives.
- Preparing and delivering training sessions for clients.
- Experience in housing management and property litigation.
- CILEx lawyers must hold Civil Litigation Practice Rights.
- Proven experience managing own files and caseload.
- Experience supervising junior staff, including paralegals.
- Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet based applications.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to manage caseloads with a level of supervision appropriate to qualification.
- Demonstrable commercial awareness and proactive approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
