Hunters Legal is working with a leading London media and entertainment law firm seeking a talented Corporate / Commercial Associate to join its Corporate / Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-profile clients across the media, entertainment and creative industries. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, with a particular focus on drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of corporate and commercial documentation, including:
- Services agreements (including global framework master services agreements)
- Procurement agreements
- Media-buying and advertising agreements
- Intellectual property assignments and licences
- Licensing and distribution agreements
- Joint venture and shareholder arrangements
- Asset purchase agreements and related ancillary documentation
- Share purchase agreements and related ancillary documentation
- Advising on matters of contract law (including interpretation and termination issues), corporate law, intellectual property law and data protection
- Managing transactions from inception through to completion
- Supporting clients on complex, high-value commercial projects within the media and entertainment sector
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales.
- Significant post‑qualification experience in corporate and/or commercial law.
- Strong experience in drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
- A strong academic background.
- Excellent technical legal skills with outstanding attention to detail.
The role requires the ability to:
- Manage competing deadlines and work independently when required.
- Produce accurate, clear and commercially focused legal drafting.
- Deliver pragmatic, solutions‑oriented advice tailored to clients in the media, entertainment and creative sectors.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse client base, including corporates, entertainers, entrepreneurs, producers and senior executives.
- Work collaboratively across teams on multidisciplinary matters.
- Demonstrate strong client service skills with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
