This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor to join a respected practice acting on high-value real estate transactions for a diverse client base of private investors, businesses, family offices and institutional clients. The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative team that combines technical excellence with a bespoke, relationship-driven approach to client service.

The Commercial Property team advises on a wide variety of complex real estate matters across multiple sectors, acting for entrepreneurs, investors, family offices, private clients and corporate occupiers. The team regularly handles high-value acquisitions and disposals, investment transactions, development projects, landlord and tenant matters, financing arrangements and the management of substantial property portfolios.

The successful candidate will join the Commercial Property team on a permanent, full-time basis, advising on a broad range of commercial real estate matters. The role offers significant client contact from the outset and provides exposure to complex transactions involving investment, development and asset management work.

Working closely with colleagues across corporate, banking, tax and dispute resolution teams, the successful candidate will play an integral role in delivering coordinated legal advice while contributing to the continued growth of the practice through strong client relationship management and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property.
  • Managing landlord and tenant matters, including the negotiation of leases and associated documentation.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases, licences and related agreements.
  • Advising on development projects, site acquisitions, promotion agreements, option agreements and conditional contracts.
  • Conducting title investigations and property due diligence.
  • Advising on commercial property finance, secured lending and refinancing transactions.
  • Supporting clients with ongoing asset management matters.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across corporate, finance, tax and dispute resolution teams.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through responsive, commercially focused advice.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the Commercial Property practice.
  • Managing matters efficiently while maintaining exceptional standards of client service and technical quality.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience advising on a broad range of commercial property matters and possess strong technical knowledge across the commercial real estate sector. Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience advising on commercial property acquisitions, disposals and leasing transactions.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills across a range of commercial property documentation.
  • Experience undertaking title due diligence and reporting on property risks.
  • Knowledge of development transactions, planning considerations, option agreements and conditional contracts.
