Hunters Legal is working with a leading London media and entertainment law firm seeking to recruit an Associate for its Divorce and Family practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and highly regarded team advising high-net-worth individuals and clients connected to the creative, entertainment and wider commercial sectors.
The successful candidate will be confident in managing a varied caseload, combining strong technical ability with excellent client care and a calm, empathetic approach to sensitive matters. The role involves regular direct client contact and requires a professional, composed manner.
Key Responsibilities- Advising on a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy and private children proceedings.
- Running smaller cases independently from instruction through to conclusion.
- Assisting senior lawyers and partners on complex, high-value matters, including multi-jurisdiction financial remedy proceedings and children disputes.
- Drafting a wide range of family law documentation, including court applications, financial disclosure documents and settlement agreements.
- Managing active caseloads with competing deadlines and court timetables.
- Engaging directly with clients, providing clear, empathetic and practical legal advice.
- Supporting the wider development of the family practice through client relationship building and matter generation.
- Experience gained within a recognised and well-established family law team.
- Strong academic background and excellent technical legal ability.
- Demonstrable experience handling a varied family law caseload.
- Exposure to complex financial remedy and/or children proceedings (including cross-border elements, ideally).
- Exceptional analytical and drafting skills.
- Strong organisational ability with confidence managing multiple matters simultaneously.
- A calm, confident and professional approach to direct client engagement.
- High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and legal precision.
