It advises predominantly employer clients, while also maintaining a strong senior executive practice. Its work spans the full range of employment law matters, including HR advisory, employment litigation in both the Employment Tribunal and High Court, transactional support and workplace investigations. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and colleagues across the wider practice, benefiting from significant client exposure, close partner support and a high level of autonomy in running matters.

Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to join a friendly and ambitious team undertaking a broad mix of contentious, advisory and transactional work. The successful candidate will play a central role in managing matters, advising clients on strategic and day‑to‑day employment issues, supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued development of junior lawyers within the team. The role offers significant scope for professional growth, technical development and long‑term progression within a successful international platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of employment matters from inception through to conclusion.
  • Advising clients on a broad range of day‑to‑day HR and strategic employment issues.
  • Conducting employment litigation, including Employment Tribunal and High Court matters, with counsel where appropriate.
  • Providing employment support on corporate and commercial transactions.
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key day‑to‑day point of contact.
  • Drafting clear, concise and commercially focused correspondence, pleadings, agreements and advisory documents.
  • Ensuring compliance with client and internal deadlines and maintaining high standards of file management.
  • Delivering internal and external training on employment law developments and practical workplace issues.
  • Supporting the supervision, mentoring and development of junior associates.
  • Contributing to know‑how initiatives, articles, podcasts, legal updates and market commentary.
  • Attending networking events, seminars and profile‑raising activities.
  • Supporting and helping shape the team’s wider business development strategy.
  • Making appropriate and effective use of the firm’s artificial intelligence tools where relevant.
