Hunters Legal is working with a leading International Law Firm that is seeking a Commercial Associate to join its highly regarded Commercial, Technology & Data team in London. The Commercial, Technology & Data team is recognised for advising both UK and international clients on complex commercial arrangements, strategic projects, and technology-driven initiatives. Lawyers within the team advise on a diverse portfolio of commercial agreements and projects, often involving multi-jurisdictional considerations and business-critical operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including supply, services, distribution, agency, manufacturing, licensing and collaboration agreements.
  • Advise clients on technology-related arrangements, including software licensing, digital transformation projects, outsourcing transactions, and technology procurement matters.
  • Support corporate and private capital transactions through due diligence exercises and the preparation of ancillary commercial agreements.
  • Provide pragmatic advice on contractual risk allocation, regulatory compliance, operational issues, and commercial strategy.
  • Conduct legal research and remain informed on developments across commercial, technology, data, and emerging regulatory frameworks.
  • Assist with multi-jurisdictional projects involving colleagues across different practice areas and international offices.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering commercially focused legal solutions.
  • Participate in business-development initiatives, client events, thought-leadership projects, and marketing activities.
  • Support the continued growth of the practice through market engagement and relationship building.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified solicitor with experience advising on a broad range of commercial contractual matters.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with the ability to manage matters effectively.
  • Experience handling commercial agreements such as services, supply, distribution, licensing, outsourcing, manufacturing, or collaboration arrangements.
  • Exposure to technology, data, digital transformation, or software-related projects would be advantageous.
