Hunters Recruitment are currently seeking a Driver - Installer / Equipment Technician for our long-established and friendly client in Portsmouth.

Deliver, install, maintain and collect specialist equipment in service users' homes. Friendly, approachable, physically fit and confident working independently in the community.

Equipment Maintenance Driver - The role
  • Carry out maintenance on electrical equipment within the community, in line with in-house training and current legislation.
  • Undertake pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure equipment is safe, compliant and ready for use.
  • Deliver and install community equipment in service users' homes and other locations as required.
  • Provide safe handover and basic user guidance to service users.
  • Collect returned equipment and ensure all items are scanned into the quarantine area at the service centre.
  • Carry out basic repairs to equipment when required.
  • Assist with annual stock checks and general warehouse duties as needed.
Equipment Maintenance Driver - Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience driving a van (full UK licence held for 2+ years).
  • No more than 6 points on licence.
  • Experience in electrical, mechanical, handyman or DIY work.
  • Comfortable working with electrically operated equipment (training provided).
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional manner.
  • Physically fit and able to handle equipment safely.
  • Willing to undergo a DBS check (processed on your behalf).
