MUST DRIVE | PITCHED & FLAT ROOFING EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL | ESTIMATING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Hunters' client is a growing commercial roofing and refurbishment contractor looking for an experienced Roofing Estimator to join their team.
This is an estimating-led role, with responsibility for pricing and winning commercial roofing projects before overseeing their successful delivery.
The Role
- Attend sites to survey, measure and establish the full scope of works.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents and identify project requirements.
- Prepare accurate and commercially competitive tenders and quotations.
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor prices and build accurate project costs.
- Liaise directly with clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
- Follow up tenders, negotiate where required and support business development.
- Monitor costs, variations, programmes and progress through to completion.
About You
- Proven roofing estimating experience within commercial construction or refurbishment.
- Strong knowledge of both pitched and flat roofing is essential.
- Commercially minded with a good understanding of labour, materials and subcontractor costs.
- Confident reading drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple tenders and projects.
- Full UK driving licence and comfortable travelling to sites across the South East.
