Hunters’ client is seeking a Product Development Technician to support the creation and improvement of production processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient, reliable manufacturing and smooth new product introduction (NPI), working closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams.
Product Development Technician - The Role
- Support new product introduction (NPI), including work instructions and design reviews
- Assist in developing and improving production processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to optimise workflows
- Support the design and manufacture of jigs, fixtures, and tooling
- Conduct audits and monitor process performance to improve quality and consistency
Product Development Technician - The Fit
- Experience in mechanical assembly, wiring, cable harnessing, or similar manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Hands-on, practical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Knowledge of cable termination or wiring standards (e.g. IPC620) advantageous
