Software / Control Systems Engineer Storrington, West Sussex Competitive Salary DOE | Full-Time | Permanent Monday – Friday | On-site Hunters’ client is looking for a Software / Control Systems Engineer to join its growing team in Storrington. This is a varied, hands-on engineering role combining software development, PLC programming, control systems and technical problem-solving.  Software / Control Systems Engineer – The Role Design, program and maintain PLC-based control systems using Siemens TIA Portal Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across production and testing environments Develop, modify and enhance LabVIEW applications supporting test and engineering activities Work closely with mechanical, electrical and production engineers to develop practical control solutions Support the continuous improvement of control systems, equipment and testing processes Software / Control Systems Engineer – The Fit  We're looking for a technically curious and methodical engineer who enjoys solving problems and getting hands-on with complex systems. You'll ideally have: A relevant degree or equivalent experience in Software, Control Systems, Automation, Electrical or Electronic Engineering Practical experience with PLC programming, ideally Siemens TIA Portal Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across software and hardware Good attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in a technically demanding environment A collaborative approach, with the confidence to work across different engineering disciplines What's On Offer?
