Join a world-leading engineering company as an experienced and motivated Machine Shop & Fabrication Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the CNC machine shop and sheet metal fabrication areas.
The Role:
- Supervise the daily operations of the CNC machine shop and sheet metal fabrication areas.
- Plan and prioritise workloads to meet production and customer delivery requirements.
- Coordinate CNC machining, punch press, waterjet cutting and associated manufacturing processes.
- Monitor productivity, machine utilisation and labour efficiency.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality and efficiency.
- Assist with performance reviews, return-to-work meetings and absence management.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation, including 5S.
- Support capacity planning and resource allocation to maximise production output.
About You:
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of CNC machining, particularly milling and/or turning.
- Experience within sheet metal fabrication, with knowledge of punch press and/or waterjet cutting highly desirable.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles would be advantageous.
