Hunters Recruitment is partnering with a leading engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the introduction of innovative new products into production, working on exciting projects across Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, Rail and Green Technology sectors.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept to production launch.
- Driving industrialisation activities and ensuring launch readiness.
- Developing manufacturing documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions and Risk Assessments.
- Supporting prototype builds and validating manufacturing processes.
- Specifying and implementing tooling, fixtures and production equipment.
- Working closely with suppliers to ensure APQP and PPAP requirements are met.
- Driving continuous improvement to enhance quality, efficiency and delivery performance.
- Managing project timelines and reporting progress to key stakeholders.
- Supporting customer-facing projects and technical proposals.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading NPI, manufacturing or industrialisation projects.
- Background within Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, Rail or similar engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems and production launches.
- Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP and PPAP.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- CAD experience for tooling, fixtures or factory layouts would be advantageous.
- Comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Experience with PLCs, MES systems or automated manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
