This is a key role within the Family team, providing high-level support to partners and fee earners across a broad range of matters. Combining administrative, organisational and case support responsibilities, the role is integral to the effective day-to-day running of the practice and the delivery of a consistently high standard of client service.

You will play an important role in supporting case progression, managing client relationships and ensuring that team processes run efficiently and smoothly within a busy, high-performing department.

Key responsibilities:
  • You will be highly organised, proactive and confident in managing a busy and varied workload, supporting partners and fee earners within the Family team.
  • You will act as a key point of contact for clients and colleagues, demonstrating professionalism, discretion and strong attention to detail at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise effectively and a collaborative, team-focused approach are essential, alongside strong IT skills and a willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for the Family team, liaising with clients, courts and external parties.
  • Providing comprehensive administrative and case support, including preparing legal documents, correspondence and court bundles.
  • Managing file administration, including file opening, AML/CDD processes and maintaining accurate electronic records.
  • Supporting case progression by overseeing court portal activity and diarising key dates and deadlines.
  • Managing diaries and inboxes, prioritising communications and ensuring timely follow-up on actions.
  • Coordinating client meetings and assisting with preparation, including attending meetings where required.
  • Liaising with Counsel, chambers and court officials as part of ongoing casework.
  • Assisting with billing processes and financial administration.
  • Supporting wider team activities, including marketing/business development and ad hoc tasks as required.
