Hunters 4 Staff are working with a well-established civil drainage builders merchant in Meir, Stoke-on-Trent, who need a reliable Yardman / Forklift Driver to support their busy depot. This is a hands-on yard role, suited to someone who's comfortable working with heavy materials and dealing with trade customers. The role is to provide cover initially up to the end of August, with the chance it could run on depending on circumstances.
Key Responsibilities- Loading customer vehicles safely and efficiently
- Unloading supplier wagons and checking deliveries
- Operating a JCB TLT type forklift
- Serving customers in the yard and assisting with materials
- Picking and preparing company wagons for deliveries
- Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe
- Previous experience in a builders merchant or civil drainage environment (preferred)
- Valid forklift licence with experience on JCB TLT trucks
- Happy working outdoors in a busy yard
- Reliable, practical, and safety-focused
- A straightforward, helpful approach with customers and colleagues
