Location: Witney, Oxfordshire.

Salary: Dependent on experience

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am - 2:00pm

Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting on behalf of a client of ours, a specialist business that designs and manufactures aircraft refuelling vehicles used at major airports around the world. Alongside manufacturing, the company also provides on-site servicing, repairs and calibration of refuelling equipment across the UK and Ireland.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a company with a strong global reputation in the aviation sector. The role would suit someone from a plant engineering, HGV, vehicle build or ex-forces background who enjoys hands-on fabrication work and wants long-term stability with overtime available.

Please note: you will be required to complete a medical and confined space training to support tank entry inspection and cleaning.

The Role

  • Fabrication of pipework and assemblies for aircraft refuelling vehicles
  • Working with aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel MIG and TIG welding to engineering drawings
  • General vehicle and component assembly work
  • Supporting manufacturing and build processes within the workshop

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience in vehicle building (ideally HGV or similar)
  • Ability to MIG and TIG weld
  • Strong fabrication skills and experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Basic understanding of health & safety
  • Fluent English
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
  • Supervisory experience beneficial but not essential
  • Experience with aircraft refuelling vehicles advantageous but not required

Highly Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems
