Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Inventory Controller / Materials Planner to join our Client. This highly visible role requires planning and expediting parts in line with market demands, scheduling from a complex supply chain, and ensuring continuity of supply. A real sense of urgency, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong cross-functional communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure continuity of supply for aftermarket operations through effective material requirements planning and timely expediting.
  • Plan, monitor, and control inventory levels to maintain availability while minimizing excess, obsolescence, and waste using lean inventory principles.
  • Develop and maintain planning parameters (MOQ, safety stock, reorder points, lead times) within systems.
  • Generate and manage purchase requisitions and planned orders based on forecasts, production schedules, and demand signals.
  • Analyze demand, production plans, and sales orders to ensure accurate material planning.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Warehousing, and Sales to align material availability with operational needs.
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance, lead times, and delivery reliability; proactively resolve shortages and supply risks.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and data integrity within ERP systems.
  • Track and maintain performance against inventory and supply KPIs, driving continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.

  • Demonstrable experience in materials planning
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly PC literate with strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
  • Well-organized and able to work under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
