Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Transport & Service Coordinator to join their team in Heysham. This is a key, hands-on role at the centre of daily operations, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, staying organised, and keeping things moving when it matters most. You'll be working closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams to make sure transport and service activities run smoothly, safely, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily transport activities, allocating vehicles, drivers, and routes
- Monitor live operations and resolve delays, breakdowns, or disruptions
- Act as the main point of contact for drivers, customers, and service partners
- Maintain accurate records including bookings, delivery notes, compliance, and service logs
- Arrange vehicle servicing, repairs, and third-party maintenance
- Produce reports covering KPIs, vehicle utilisation, and service performance
