Salary: £35,512.26 per annum

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 45 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (including evenings and weekends)

We’re recruiting a Sous Chef for Hoar Cross Hall, one of the UK’s leading spa and hotel destinations, known for high standards, fresh food, and a supportive kitchen culture. This is a hands-on role for an experienced Sous Chef - or a strong CDP ready to step up - who enjoys working in a busy, high-quality kitchen and wants to be part of a well-established culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and deputise for the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Lead, motivate, train, and develop the kitchen team
  • Maintain consistently high food quality across restaurant and buffet service
  • Contribute to menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier standards
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience as a Sous Chef or a confident CDP ready for progression
  • Strong leadership skills and a calm approach under pressure
  • Passion for fresh food and attention to detail
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Solid knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance
