Production Operative – Ecclesfield, Sheffield

Pay: £13.00 per hour rising to £13.50 after trial period
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 06:00-16:30 (4 x 10‑hour shifts)
Contract: Temporary to Perm

Hunters 4 Staff are delighted to be working with a specialist in train seat refurbishment, and they’re looking for a hands-on Production Operative to join the team in Ecclesfield. You’ll be trained on stripping down seats, replacing foam, and helping with upholstery. There’s also the chance to go out to customer sites, so you’ll be representing the business and meeting clients face‑to‑face.

The role:

• Stripping down train seats and preparing them for refurbishment
• Fitting new foam and upholstery under guidance and training
• Working on customer sites to remove and install refurbished seating
• Keeping work areas tidy, safe and well organised
• Acting as a friendly, professional representative of the business when on-site with clients
• Following company policies, including a strict zero‑tolerance drugs & alcohol policy

The ideal production operative:

• Physically fit and comfortable standing for a full shift
• Previous experience in production, manufacturing or a hands-on role
• Confident and polite when speaking to customers
• Reliable, punctual and happy to work in a team
• Smart appearance when working off site
