About the role

Hunters 4 Staff are working with a well-established manufacturing business looking to add a reliable Production Operative to their team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous factory or manufacturing experience who's comfortable using machinery and power tools. The starting rate is £12.71 per hour, with scope to increase for the right person depending on experience. You'll be involved in preparing and inspecting metal components, supporting the production process, and helping keep the factory running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

  • Operating machinery such as saws, angle grinders, orbital sanders and presses
  • Preparing welded assemblies for surface treatment
  • Inspecting and cleaning parts before surface treatment and dispatch
  • Measuring and cutting parts using provided cutting lists
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
  • Keeping the workspace clean, organised and safe

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing or factory experience is essential
  • Confident using hand tools and power tools
  • Experience with metal preparation is an advantage
  • Good attention to detail and pride in quality work
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
