Location: Cheadle, Staffordshire
Pay Rate: £17.39 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary / Ongoing
Working Hours: Day shift, early finish on Fridays

About the role

Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting experienced MIG Welders on behalf of JCB Compact Products in Cheadle. This is a day‑shift role in a well‑organised manufacturing environment, with strong rates of pay and regular overtime available.

You’ll be welding components to a high standard as part of a skilled production team. Immediate weld tests are available for suitable candidates.

Key responsibilities

• MIG welding of components to specification
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Carrying out visual quality checks on welds
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work area
• Working to production targets and deadlines

Requirements

• Proven MIG welding experience
• Ability to pass an on‑site weld test
• Comfortable working in a production environment
• Willing to complete a pre‑employment medical, including drugs & alcohol testing
• Good attention to detail and reliability

Pay & benefits

• £17.39 per hour
• Overtime at £26.09 per hour
• Sunday rate £34.78 per hour
• Day shift with early finish on Fridays
• Weekly pay
• On‑site parking
• Long‑term work with a well‑known manufacturer
