Hygiene Manager – Coventry CV3 (Guenther Bakeries) – Up to £50,000 – Permanent – 44 hrs per week

Hunters 4 Staff are supporting a well‑established food manufacturing site in Coventry who are looking for an experienced Hygiene Manager to join the team. This is a permanent role offering stability, great support and the chance to play a key part in keeping the site running safely and efficiently.

The role

You’ll lead the hygiene team on site, making sure daily operations run smoothly and that all cleaning, safety and compliance standards are consistently met. It’s a hands‑on role where you’ll guide, support and develop your team while keeping standards high across the board.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day‑to‑day operation of the hygiene team, ensuring staff are supported, trained and working safely.
• Build strong working relationships with the client and deal with any issues or complaints professionally.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks meet agreed standards, carrying out audits and putting corrective actions in place when needed.
• Oversee PPE use, safe chemical handling, isolation/lock‑off procedures and general site safety.
• Plan and allocate work to make best use of staff and equipment while staying within labour budgets.
• Complete all required documentation, investigations and return‑to‑work interviews in line with company and client procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a hygiene management or supervisory role, with background in food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety, including safe chemical use and machinery isolation.
• Confident leading a team and able to communicate clearly at all levels.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage changing priorities.
• Able to build a positive team culture and maintain high standards at all times.
