Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting for an experienced CNC Skilled Setter / Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based at their Toll Point facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong CNC machining experience who enjoys working in a friendly, hardworking team and wants a long-term opportunity with a business supplying high-profile global customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC mills and lathes, ensuring quality standards are maintained while supporting efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC milling and turning machines from engineering setup sheets
- Load, prove and run CNC programs using FANUC controls
- Set tooling and make accurate offset adjustments as required
- Inspect components during production to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met
- Read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Carry out routine daily machine maintenance and safety checks
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a CNC Setter / Operator
- Experience with CNC mills and lathes
- Confident working with FANUC controls
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience working to tight tolerances within low to medium batch production environments
- Jib or overhead crane experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Experience operating a cylindrical grinder would be beneficial
