Our client specialises in machining medium to large fabrications on a wide range of standard and multi-axis CNC milling and machining centres. We are a well-established engineering business with a strong reputation for quality and precision, serving various industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating CNC vertical machining centres
- Working predominantly with Heidenhain controls (Fanuc experience is also beneficial)
- Performing basic daily and weekly maintenance tasks on machinery
- Using micrometers, verniers, and hard gauges to check work and adjust offsets as needed
- Problem-solving and supporting team members as needed
- Assisting in team support and mentoring once familiar with the processes
- Handling components ranging from 50g to 500kg (crane training provided)
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a CNC Setter / Operator
- Comfortable working with Heidenhain control systems (Fanuc desirable)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Previous crane handling experience is desirable (training will be provided)
- Physically fit to meet the demands of the role
Training Provided:
- Full machine and product familiarity training
- Overhead crane training if required
