Responsible to: The Principal through the Learning Support Co-Ordinator and/or the Head of Finance and Corporate Services.
We currently have a vacancy for the new academic year to support a year 10 student’s educational and personal development under the guidance of subject teachers and the Learning Support Co-ordinator. However, flexibility will be required to assist other students as necessary.
The student presents with a range of complex needs, the overarching of which being social, behaviour and emotional wellbeing difficulties. Support may include helping the student stay focused on tasks, encouraging positive behaviour, and facilitating opportunities to build peer relationships and social skills.
The person appointed will need to be sympathetic to the students’ needs during their education in Hunterhouse College. An appreciation of the importance of confidentiality is also required.
The person appointed will need to be flexible to undertake a range of different duties, have an excellent attendance and punctuality record, be confident in the use of ICT and be able to work independently.
