Company Overview: Our client is a well-established engineering organisation recognised for delivering high-quality technical solutions. They are looking to strengthen their Engineering team with the addition of a Workshop Technician. This is a hands-on workshop-based role, ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys varied work and working to high standards.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical build, strip-down, modification, and functional testing of equipment
- Install and rework pipework and associated mechanical systems within the workshop
- Complete assigned job orders, ensuring work is delivered to schedule and specification
- Accurately complete technical documentation and job records
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Background in mechanical engineering or workshop-based assembly
- Essential: experience with pipework, pneumatics, fitting, welding, fabrication
- Basic electrical awareness is beneficial but not essential
- NVQ or similar mechanical qualification advantageous
