Do you want to work for a leading manufacturer, with the job security of being part of a global group? They are looking for a Weekend Engineering Supervisor to lead a team that carries out all PPM and reliability engineering activities during the weekend shutdown period.
Role & Responsibilities of the Weekend Engineering Supervisor:
- Hands-on leading a team of 3 engineers to complete planned maintenance & reliability tasks
- Work closely with the other engineering supervisor to organise PPM's around production
- PPM workload allocation, prioritisation of tasks, completion of work orders in SAP
- Create new PPM plans, monitoring reliability engineering and suggest improvements
- Still partake in hands-on tasks with the team, electrical & mechanical PPM's, CI work and repairs of production machinery
- Liaise with the storesperson to report on used spares, parts and forecast what will be needed for future weekend PPM tasks
Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be the Weekend Engineering Supervisor:
- Strong PPM & reliability maintenance experience
- Able to lead from the front, prioritise tasks and organise PPM's schedules effectively
- Experience as a team leader or proven track record of working towards
- Ideally be a multi-skilled engineer
- Beneficial if completed a time-served apprenticeship
- Knowledge of continuous improvement & reliability engineering
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Previously have worked in some form of manufacturing environment would be advantageous
- Ideally have used SAP systems or something similar
- Comfortable being the most senior person on site over the weekends
