Role & Responsibilities:

  • Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long term machine reliability.
  • Execute the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively.
  • Use appropriate root cause analysis tools and 5S.
  • Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems.
  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance.
  • Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Formal Engineering Qualification – C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship trained.
  • Continuous improvement knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of good engineering standards.
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing or production environments.
