HGV Mechanic Welwyn Garden City £48,000 - £50,000

07:00am - 17:30pm | Monday - Friday

Our client is a specialist in ready-mix concrete delivery and is seeking an HGV Mechanic to carry out maintenance, inspections, and repairs on their fleet of concrete mixer vehicles. This role involves working across multiple depot locations, with occasional travel and overnight stays required.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all HGVs remain roadworthy, compliant, and operating reliably
  • Planned and reactive maintenance across a fleet of 15 vehicles
  • Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical repairs as required
  • Diagnostics and servicing on a mixed fleet, mainly DAF and Renault
  • Occasional breakdown support locally (van provided)
  • Accurate completion of service records, inspection sheets, and compliance paperwork

About You:

  • Experienced HGV Mechanic with hands-on work across HGVs and associated equipment
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach to managing workload and keeping vehicles operational
  • Must have a valid UK Driving license
  • Must have a HGV license
