Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on plant equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Diagnose faults and prioritise tasks to minimise downtime.
- Maintain and optimise pumps, valves, compressed air systems, and chemical blending processes.
- Support engineering projects including installations, commissioning, and relocations.
- Carry out mechanical fitting, pipework, and pump maintenance tasks.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and record activities in the CMMS system.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Time-served apprenticeship or strong hands-on experience, ideally in chemical or food manufacturing.
- NVQ/C&G mechanical qualifications (Tig Welding) (HNC/HND desirable).
- Mechanical fitting skills (welding, pipework, valves, pumps).
- COMAH experience and knowledge of chemical/stainless-steel fabrication desirable.
- Ability to read technical drawings and work safely to standards.
