Electrical Design Engineer

£45,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)
We're currently supporting a growing business in the Greater Manchester area who are looking to develop their Electrical Design team. Working on the development of HV / LV substation equipment. You'll be responsible for producing detailed electrical designs for switchgear, protection and control systems:
- Design Electrical systems for substations including LV, MV and HV switchgear assemblies
- Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts
- Design protection and control systems, including relay protection schemes
- Carry out load flow analysis, cable sizing calculations etc
- Be on hand for technical support during site installation
Requirements
- Degree, HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering or a related area
- Proven knowledge of substation equipment
- Familiarity with BS EN, IEC and utiltiies industry standards
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN and other ECAD software
- Previous experience with National Grid, DNO or renewable projects
