The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business with growth plans in place. My client are looking to take on a Warehouse and Logistics Manager in a newly created role providing you the opportunity to make the role your own. The role would be well suited to a Warehouse Manager with experience on managing teams of warehouse operators, continuous improvement initiatives and a strong health and safety focus. Working across a broad range of manufacturing sectors, this is a great chance to join a secure business who are breaking into new markets.
Role & Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the entire goods in/out process to ensure accurate and timely receipt and dispatch of goods.

To lead the warehouse team ensuring that all operational systems and health & that all warehouse activities comply with health and safety regulations and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of goods and materials.

Maintain oversight of the stores area, including external yard area, finished goods warehouse and raw material stores.

Manage and develop a team of Warehouse Operatives, Yard & Warehouse operative and team leader.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping and champion 5S activities in the area.

Conduct regular stock checks and maintain stock accuracy reporting.

Participate in and actively promote the company’s CIP (continuous improvement program) looking for ways to continually improve the way we work and to reduce waste.

The successful candidate will come from a warehouse and logistics management background.

Experience within FMCG or the plastics industry would be beneficial, as well

Experience managing teams of warehouse staff.

Health and safety focussed.

Previous experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
