A well-established and growing engineering manufacturer is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer / Business Development Engineer to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity to focus on growing and emerging sectors within a specialist engineering environment.
The successful candidates will be responsible for generating new business, identifying opportunities, opening new customer relationships and developing engagement within both new and existing target organisations.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within a Technical Sales Engineer / Business Development Engineer / Business Development Executive role
- Experience gained within areas such as:
- Electronics or electronic components
- Connectors and interconnect
- Electro-mechanical products
- PCB or electronics manufacturing
- Test and measurement
- Industrial electronics or automation
- Engineering services
- Aerospace, defence or rail supply chains
The candidate will be commercially driven, technically curious and enjoy business development.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across our target markets.
- Research and approach prospective customers and identify relevant contacts within target organisations.
- Generate new conversations through telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking, exhibitions and face-to-face engagement.
- Build relationships with engineering, procurement, programme and other relevant customer teams.
- Develop opportunities within existing customer organisations as well as establishing completely new relationships.
