Roles & Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical lead on projects of varying size and complexity
- Prepare structural design calculations, drawings, specifications and reports
- Coordinate designs with technicians and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Attend client meetings and undertake structural surveys
- Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and other stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Review and check engineering designs, calculations and drawings
- Supervise and mentor Graduate Engineers within the team
- Assist with commercial and project management activities
- Ensure compliance with current design standards and regulations
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status (MICE/MIStructE) or nearing Chartership
- Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience within a structural engineering background
- Experience designing steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber structures
- Good knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards
- Proficiency with Tekla Structural Designer and TEDDS
- Good understanding of CDM Regulations 2015
