Role & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production machinery
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving and repairs
  • PLC - electrical fault finding
  • Continuous improvement projects
  • Dealing with motors, servo drives, contactors, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, inverters
  • Management of stores, ordering of spares & parts when needed
  • Upkeep and alteration of electrical & mechanical drawings

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 engineering or maintenance
  • Strong electrical & mechanical problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of PLC's
  • Control panels - electrical fault finding
  • Able to read and follow electrical schematic drawings
  • Continuous improvement mentality
  • Willingness to help in all areas of the team
  • Worked on motors, inverters, VSD's, sensors, switches, pneumatics, gearboxes
