The Role:
- Design electrical control systems for machinery using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
- Attend specification meetings with customers.
- Communicate with other design engineers (mechanical and electrical) ensuring projects can be completed on time.
- Be aware of cost targets in design, purchase, and assembly.
- Document all project related material.
- Carry out risk assessments on machinery.
- Write and develop PLC code for machine control using Rockwell and Beckhoff.
- Produce Bill of Materials using Agile product lifecycle management software.
- Commissioning of machinery.
The Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 5+ years relevant experience.
- Effective negotiation skills.
- Troubleshooting, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Programming using Rockwell, Beckhoff and Zenon software.
- Engineering Design using AutoCAD electrical or EPLAN.
