You will be responsible for turning data into insights and playing a critical part in the ongoing success of the business.
Role Description
- Reporting directly to the Strategic Lead, play a key role in enhancing visibility of cost and margin performance, building reliable reporting and ensuring profitability is a core consideration at every stage.
- Maintain accurate and consistent cost and margin reporting.
- Analyse Bills of Materials (BoMs), routings, and labour flows to identify key cost drivers, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to review product design and manufacturing methods, identifying simplification opportunities and cost-down potential.
- Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Finance to ensure margin performance is consistently monitored and addressed.
- Support the implementation of standardised cost control processes, dashboards, and reporting cycles.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ideally qualified to degree level.
- Proven experience as a cost analyst, cost engineer, cost specialist or similar role.
- Experience in data, operational and financial analysis.
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or technical organisation.
- Experience working within a Standard Cost environment and showing an understanding of Manufacturing Variance.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of SAP.
