Join a leading design and manufacturer of full turnkey projects for food processing & packaging machinery. Due to further growth within the business, they are looking for an electrical engineer to support the test, assembly and electrical installation of new machinery.
Role & Responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer:
- Electrical building & testing of industrial machinery
- Machine wiring and functional testing
- Wire & connect electrical systems on machinery - motors, sensors, actuators, interconnectors
- Carry out functional testing - input/output checks, basic fault finding prior to commissioning
- Assist in verifying signal paths of PLCs / HMIs before software upload
- Read and work from electrical schematics and layout drawings
- Support additional factory installation tasks when needed
Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be an Electrical Engineer:
- Background in machine wiring or industrial electrical assembly
- Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring documentation
- Qualification - NVQ Level 3 or higher Electrical Engineering + 18th Edition
- Experience with control drives, sensors, motors, VFDs
- Dealt with automation, PLCs, HMIs
- Confident in identifying and resolving electrical faults during build & testing
- Flexible approach to working hours, and willing to do overtime when needed
- Background in food machinery, process equipment, OEM - desirable
