The Role

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician to join a modern manufacturing environment. This is a key position within a multi-skilled engineering team, responsible for maintaining and improving the performance, reliability, and safety of high-speed production equipment.

You will work across both mechanical and electrical disciplines, supporting production through effective fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair fast-moving, complex manufacturing equipment to minimise downtime
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related faults
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work on pumps, valves, robotics, and high-speed machinery
  • Apply strong root cause analysis techniques to prevent recurring issues
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance

About You

You will be an apprentice-trained engineer with strong experience in industrial manufacturing. You'll be confident working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within a fast-moving manufacturing or logistics environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering background
  • Experience working on high-speed machinery, pumps, robotics, valves, and PLCs
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Solid understanding of preventative maintenance techniques
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and cross-functional working skills
