This thriving South Wales manufacturer is looking to further strengthen its existing Manufacturing function, following the acquisition of a number of lucrative new contracts. The company has an enviable reputation for design excellence and is the supplier of choice for many of the world's leading equipment manufacturers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of projects from the enquiry stage through to manufacturing, ensuring handing over to the customer on time and to budget.
- Oversee the Design and Validation plan for New Projects and develop cost reduction programmes in line with customer needs.
- Within the APQP process be the point of contact with the customer, interface with engineering, quality, purchasing and logistics.
- Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions.
- Support the Purchasing team in developing existing and new suppliers ensuring the APQP programme requirements are met.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Ideally hold an Engineering related Qualification – BEng / HNC / HND etc.
- At least 3 years Project Management experience; able to communicate in German would be advantageous.
- Experienced in Project managing products from customer enquiry to customer handover.
