They are currently experiencing exciting growth plans with work orders and projects growing at a rapid rate, naturally this has led to the requirement for an additional Automation Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team. The business works within a variety of sectors across engineering functions and is currently going through a huge growth period which would make it an excellent time to be a part of this company.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Customer contact, including clarification of requirements
- Project management/execution
- Functional Description (FDS) writing
- Design/development of software for PLC/PC-based control systems
- Consultancy
- Planning and participation in testing
- Participation in commissioning and service of plants
- Participation in the development of standards/procedures
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience working as a Controls / Automation Engineer / Process Engineer / PLC Programmer previously with a manufacturing environment.
- Engineering or other relevant technical background.
- Experience with dairy processes or similar.
- Experience with ISA S88 and/or S95 standards.
- 3 years or more of PLC/SCADA programming experience in one or more of the following systems such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, ABB 800xA, Schneider, Modicon, Mitsubishi, Wonderware and WinCC is desirable.
