We're looking for proactive and skilled Shift Engineers or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment based in the Milton Keynes area. You'll be part of a high-performing engineering team responsible for maintaining production efficiency, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting continuous improvement across modern, high-speed lines.

Your Responsibilities:
- Responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and carrying out effective fault diagnosis and repairs to minimise downtime
- Delivering planned maintenance activities and recommending improvements to maximise asset performance
- Supporting production teams by operating machinery when required to maintain output and efficiency
- Ensuring all engineering work is completed in line with health & safety and hygiene standards
- Maintaining accurate records including downtime logs, maintenance reports, and shift handovers
- Using technical documentation and mechanical drawings to identify and source correct replacement parts
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting engineering projects
Our Requirements:
- A recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC)
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment (5+ years preferable)
- Strong fault-finding skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Good understanding of maintenance systems and engineering best practices
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
- A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
