Our client is a leading food manufacturing company, the site is part of a larger national organisation. Due to growth and further expansion they are looking for an experienced Engineering Stores Manager.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for ensuring spare parts for maintenance and servicing are in stock & payments made
- Manage an Engineering Purchaser, assist with sourcing suppliers & negotiate costs
- Inventory management - lead cycle counts, stock takes, manage the location of all engineering stock
- Make sure the stores area is organised, tidy and with clear instructions for engineers
- All PPM's, parts & engineering spares are accounted for and controlled through CMMS
- Suggest improvements, report any issues of delay of stock
- Use CMMS to track KPIs, raise POs, manage stock levels of slow moving items
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- At least 3 years experience in a similar stores management / senior inventory role
- Must have technical knowledge of engineering stores & parts management
- Ideally have worked in food manufacturing
- Strong IT skills - Used CMMS systems & Excel (Expert)
- Effective communicator - working with various teams & departments
- Analytical individual - excellent attention to detail
- Process driven person
