MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER BOURNEMOUTH £32,000 – £38,000 + TRAINING + BENEFITS Due to a expansion within the business, my client are looking to add to their skilled design team with the addition of a Mechanical Design Engineer. We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer. If you’re a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be responsible for working on a variety of projects and sectors, from initial concept through to manufacturing. THE ROLE: Preparing design briefs, detailed specifications and BOM’s to meet customer requirements. Working on complex custom design projects using Solidworks. 2d and 3d model generation. Design and draughting using AutoCAD and Solidworks Software. Selecting appropriate materials, section sizes, and components. Regularly updating customers on progress. Working autonomously at times reporting back progress to internal stakeholders Work very closely with the Project Management Team to overcome any design challenges during project execution. THE PERSON: 3 years experience as a Design engineer OR senior Draughtsperson. Degree or HND/HNC in mechanical engineering. Competent with both Solidworks and AutoCAD. Experience in design for manufacture. Happy to learn FEA and 3d structural stress analysis.
