A household name Manufacturing company has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Team Leader to join the team at their growing facility. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your skillset as a hands-on engineering team leader in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. It's a very exciting time to join the team and the business is looking for a motivated individual with a track record of working to high standards, leading and developing teams.

Role Description

  • Manage and prioritise breakdowns ensuring that all work is carried out quickly and effectively.
  • Co-ordinate the work of engineers, ensuring all reports and records are completed correctly and issued within the correct timescales.
  • Assist in the performance management of the team.
  • Ensure the achievements of the Engineering KPIs and targets are met.
  • Mentor and support the team.
  • Assist in the development of the Engineering department to enable the business to grow.
  • Ensure all company procedures and rules are adhered to and issues are dealt with fairly, promptly, and consistently.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained and kept operational and safe.
  • Quick response to breakdowns and its rectification, ensuring that all work is carried out in an effective and safe manner.
  • Fully support improvement initiatives and development of the Engineering department to enable the business to grow.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Good Engineering Knowledge gained within an FMCG environment.
  • Self-managed and able to influence others to gain their maximum performance.
  • Experience with projects is highly advantageous.
  • HNC or NVQ3 or higher in engineering with supervisory experience - ideally.
  • Good communication and IT skills.
