Shift pattern: mixture of Earlies, Days & Lates – NO Weekends
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a company operating within a highly automated environment.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical and mechanical support across production and packaging machinery
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to reduce downtime
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and continuous improvement tasks
- Support the installation and integration of new equipment and technology Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain performance, efficiency, and safety standards
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent (minimum NVQ Level 3)
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and preventative maintenance ability
- Good understanding of health, safety, and quality standards
- A team player with strong communication skills; self-motivated and adaptable
- Experience within FMCG, Food, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments
- Familiar with RCM, FMEA, PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi) and automated equipment
- Experience across multi-disciplinary engineering projects
- Reading and interpreting electrical and pneumatic drawings (NVQ3 minimum)
- Working on motors, gearboxes, chain drives, conveyors, pumps, and bearings
- 3â phase & singleâ phase electrical systems, basic PLC knowledge, inverters and control systems
- Steam boilers, steam & condensate systems, heat exchangers, and soft water plant
