This is a great opportunity to get your foot on the ladder within the manufacturing industry. I am working with a leading business in the Port Talbot area looking to recruit a Machining Team Member. This role will provide you the opportunity to train to use a variety of different machining tools and technologies, work on a day shift and work for a secure business who put a great emphasis on employee welfare. This role would be well suited to a candidate looking for their first step into the manufacturing world, with a good aptitude for training and development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- To perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
- Machine parts from controlled drawings and use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
- Learn a variety of machining methods across a wide range of world class products
- Recognize, deploy and properly use fixtures and tooling - milling, lathing, drilling
- Understand and perform tool wear offsets
- Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on manual and automated machinery
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
