We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically or mechanically biased engineer looking to join a stable company that offers long-term career progression and the potential to increase earnings in the future. Initially, this role will operate on a days-based schedule, providing a great work-life balance with an early finish every Friday. There is also the opportunity to progress onto a Panama days shift pattern in the future, which will come with a corresponding salary increase.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production and site equipment.
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and minimise downtime.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience working in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Electrical and/or mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Experience carrying out both reactive and preventative maintenance.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Relevant engineering qualifications would be advantageous.
